Business Card Cozy

Something fun that I can wip up in no time! I wll most likely be passing these out as PIF's or as a little customer appreciation gift. This one is listed in my Etsy shop for $7.

My views did increase but I can't be sure if it's do to the widget. I hear of some seeing a dramatic increase in views within a few days. I will most likely keep the widget because every little bit helps.

I like being in business for myself but, I am still looking for "Work from home" jobs. If you know of any, drop me a comment!

Etsy ,Treasuries, Forum Posts, Trunkt, and Trades

Basically, I've been doing non-stop promotions for the past few days.

Today I was able to snag an " Etsy Treasury". This will be my second treasury since I first started back in December.

I even bought and item from my favorites, that is now featured. I can't wait to get it in the mail.

This week I made a trade and I am awaiting shipment. When I get it, I will feature this etsy artist and of course take pics of myself wearing it. This was my first trading experience, and so far so good. Trading is a good way to promote your etsy shop so don't shy away from it.

Another way to promote your shop is by doing a PIF," Pay It Forward". The concept is to do something nice for someone in hopes that they will "pay it forward" by doing something nice for someone else. I listed the hat above for 20 cents ( etsy won't let you go lower, it covers the listing cost) as a PIF. It sold within an hour!
So there you have it. The three ways I promoted my shop this week. If you forgot let me list them for you!
2. Made a trade.
3. Did a PIF
Oh, and I almost forgot......I re-submitted and application for Trunkt! I'll never give up!

I Love/ Hate Ebay

Something new with that old time flapper feel!

I swore off ebay.........until I started looking around for a new shipment of candle supplies. I found out that I could get what I needed at a reasonable price . This is 100% soy way with cotton wicks. Just what I wanted! I found that the shipping was alot cheaper too because this was one of the few sellers that did not include containers. I perfer to use recycled containers or unique containers. I can get a bunch of antique containers from my local thrift store. They work out so great and can be an added bonus when the candle runs out. I'm even thinking about making a refill policy for my local customers. Go Green!

Speaking of green. I will share a little secret with you. Most of the yarn that I use was donated. It is amazing how people will give me loads of yarn because they don't have time to do fiber art anymore. There lost, my gain! I am sure that I have enough yarn to last me a whole year.

Well it looks like there will be twins!
Not identical, not even born on the same day but born of the same mother
She is in her infancy and I will share a little of her with you. Her true birthdate is on March 4th.

Introducing Soy Candles

Irish Coffee Soy Candle
I often get the question, " What are you going to do when the season changes?". I usually reply," I'll think of something".

A few years ago I purchased 10 lbs of soy flakes. At the time, I planned on making and selling soy candles on ebay. After moving I forgot all about it and went back to my first love, " crochet ".
So I guess I have a new answer to what I will be doing once the season changes.............MAKE SOY CANDLES!

Drawing traffic to your Blog

I read a very informative thread today and was directed to a site called http://www.widgetbucks.com/. I signed up and now I have a new widget to the right of my page. I will update this periodically giving you the estimated traffic increase flow to my blog.

Upon entering the WidgetBucks site, I was quite surprise at how easy it was to apply the widget to my blog. It took all of about 5mins, and that was including registration. There is a portion that may not be appealling to most and that is the section that pertains to your tax id number. I felt really uncomfortable releasing this information but I relunctantly went along with it. It is my understanding that there is a possibilty of making potiential earnings in the way of refferals. Apparently the ads that are placed within the widgets are actual paying businesses. The mechanics of all this still eludes me but, out of sheer wonder I have decided to take the widget plunge. As I enter this blog entry my total views stand at 105. My blog is fairly new, and just under a month old. I will update this post in a few weeks and hopefully the next time I will have a dramatic increase in not only views but widgetbucks as well! Good Day!
